On Women’s Day open your heart and your eyes to see the person you are meant to be.
So many of us live on auto pilot, accepting the status quo, and leading full and busy lives, when we do have thoughts about making positive changes or doing something different, we tend to put it off ‘till tomorrow’. In doing so, we hold ourselves back from discovering our real potential, our power and the greatness that resides in all of us.
We put off making changes because we think it will be too hard, take too much effort. Yet we so admire the successful people around us, perhaps not realising they made a choice to bring positive change into their lives. They had the confidence and courage to believe in themselves, to believe they could be great.
We are not here to live mediocre lives – it is our choice to make the best of our life, to enjoy it fully, loving what we do, bringing fulfilment and happiness to our lives and to other peoples’ too.
We can only start to do this when we realize and accept that greatness lies within us. When we regard our mistakes as a step forward, progress in the right direction and we let go of criticism and blame.
We are more powerful than we realise or know. Look at your life and ask yourself what have you wanted to do but thought you couldn’t do it? Don’t worry about how you will do it – that will come to you.
Your dreams come to you for a reason – you can either act on them or not. “In life, you don’t get what you want, you get what you are”.
Think about what’s important to you –something you’d like to do that gives your life more value. We have the ability, skills and talents we haven’t even reached for yet.
Is it easy – no. But what’s important is that in the process you will grow with confidence and courage into the person you are meant to be.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.”
